Teaching with the Brain in Mind Part 2: The Functioning Brain

It is important for educators to understand brain development in order to support students in the learning process. This training is designed to give participants a deeper understanding into the brain cycles and how the brain learns. Information about the ages and stages of brain development from infancy through the teen years will be shared. Participants will also learn about the male/female brain and the 4 'M's: Mistakes, Movement, Mindset and Mindfulness.

Workshop Goals

 

  1. Identify the stages of brain development from infancy through the teen years.

  2. Identify why mistakes, movement, mindset and mindfulness are important to the learning process.

  3. Acquire steps to help students through the learning process.
