Out of School Time Programing to Support Increased Physical Activity
This training is designed for elementary and secondary educators as well as community partners who desire to provide physical activity opportunities for students before and after school. Participants will learn about the benefits students receive as a result of engaging in moderate to vigorous physical activity before and after school. Ideas of physical activities and how to organize the activities will also be shared. This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of school and OST partnerships that support student and staff physical activity in before and after school programs, tools for assessing and action planning, as well as resources for implementation.
